We would like to think that Tom Cruise genuinely realized that he went too far by bashing Brooke Shield’s decision to take anti-depressants for her post pardum depression. But the truth is, Tom realized that he had aliented many of his female fans by his tirade, and making peace was going to be crucial in keeing his career afloat. Rather than losing millions of women fans, he showed up on Brooke’s doorstep with an apology, invited her to various social events, brought her to Rome for the wedding and promised her a role in an upcoming movie. Brooke has accepted the showbiz friendship as her career is in dire need of a boost. Win Win I’d say.
