My regular readers know that Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are by far my favorite celebrity couple. Mostly keeping to themselves in one of their several homes around the planet including a private island, they raise their kids and love each other in private. Which is such an amazing feat that to hear most celebrities tell it..it just can’t be done. Right.

The way Johnny and Vanessa stay out of the spotlight proves that 99.9% of celebrities are full of shit and love having their pictures made and being in the spotlight.

Since we get so little from them by way of paparazzi shots or even red carpet events..I always get excited when I read a good interview from one of them. This month Van is the cover girl for Harpers Bazaar UK as well as posing with Karl Lagerfield on the cover of  Madame Figaro. Most fashion insiders seem surprised that she got the cover of such a big mag..but I’m not sure why. In addition to being Johnny D’s baby momma she’s a well established French actress/model/singer and muse.

My all time favorite bohemian couple, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis at the VIP Room as part of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival.

I’m sad to report that Paris Hilton also attended this event and put her stank on the night…maybe that’s why John and Van are leaving.

Vanessa Paradis is no idiot. She knows if it can happen to Laura Dern and Jennifer Aniston, it can happen to her.

As soon as Vanessa found out that Johnny Depp would have a major love scene with Angelina Jolie in “The Tourist” she started campaigning to get him the hell out of there. So far it hasn’t worked as we’ve already seen pictures of the two filming on set, but the NY Post says there is some behind the scenes manipulating going on and that it is possible Johnny could be replaced by Brad Pitt or Leo DiCaprio.

Paradis “found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between [Depp] and Jolie,” a source close to the project said.

“He’s currently trying to [get out of the movie], but I don’t know if he’s succeeded. But he’s trying and they’re talking about replacing him with [Jolie's partner] Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.”

Paradis, Depp’s partner of 12 years with whom she has two kids, doesn’t have to look deep into Jolie’s past to find reasons to worry.

The puffy-lipped siren and Pitt hooked up after they steamed up the screen in “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” The 2005 picture was largely credited with busting up Pitt’s Tinseltown union with “Friends” actress Aniston. Years earlier, Jolie got her hooks into Billy Bob Thornton, while the “Sling Blade” actor was reportedly engaged to actress Dern.

I’m not sure why Kate Bosworth even bothered to show up to this event. I know she is a spokesperson for Chanel now but honestly, when Vanessa Paradis is there…Kate Bosworth is just a side note. The dinner was held in her honor (she is the face of the new line of lipsticks) in NYC, February 9th.

Aside from being a gorgeous, successful French actress and model, Vanessa is the long-time girlfriend (and baby-momma) of Johnny Depp. When Johnny and Van aren’t working to support their two kids they live a quiet, charmed life in the French countryside and Vanessa takes her daughter shopping at Forever 21! Not French boutiques, Forever 21. I love it. I love her. I love them.

At 37 years old, Vanessa still has that classic French beauty that seems to come naturally and I find irresistible. Did I mention I love her?

I think I mentioned that Kate B. was there too..but who cares? I’m still pissed off at her for sleeping with dating Alexander Skarsgard.
