Perfectly titled. Waiting for season four of True Blood to start does suck. But a shirtless Alexander Skarsgard does not.

I’m not going to post any spoilers here but anyone that’s read the books knows what’s coming next. Go Team Eric and Sooki! Alexander Skarsgard along with 15 cast mates and producers previewed the upcoming season of True Blood at PaleyFest in Beverly Hills on Saturday. They gave away some plot teasers..you can read about them HERE.

Sesame Street has had more press this week than they’ve had since they debuted in 1969. Even Snuffleupagus becoming visible to everyone else besides Big Bird didn’t make the headlines they’ve made this week.

First the Katy Perry boob-gate story and now they’ve decided to get all hip and slick with a spoof of the hit show True Blood. Which is hilarious to me. They had to pick the most sexual and violent show on television to parody? But Katy Perry’s cleavage was too much. I’m not sure why..but this seems majorly hypocritical to me.

In the clip, Compton’s doppelganger asks Stackhouse’s, a waitress, for “True Mud”, a parody of the blood drink vampires consume in the original series to try and stop themselves from feeding on humans. Stackhouse’s puppet returns with a baked potato, much to his exasperation.

“Oh right,” she says. “That’s True Spud. Spud, mud, spud, mud – they sound so much the same. They rhyme! Guess I got confused.”

“You ain’t one of them Grouches, are you?” one of the bar customers asks Compton’s doppelganger, mimicking the suspicion and prejudice many humans in the original series have for vampires, before he shows him his “True Dud” watch.

Compton’s puppet becomes so annoyed he falls off his bar stool, prompting the customer to comment on his “True Thud”.

Yeah this months Rolling Stone cover with the stars of True Blood is slightly disturbing …but this entire season has been, no?

Every Sunday night I go to sleep thinking, “WTF?”

I love it when actors and actresses tell the truth about how they stay in tv or movie screen shape. Don’t you get sick of hearing “I rarely work out,” or “I just do yoga” or “I eat junk all the time”? I freakin’ do. We all know it’s part of their jobs to maintain a thin frame so why lie about it? And they are paid well to do it.

In this instance, True Blood’s sexy lesbian vampire says that everyone on set pretty much avoid carbs and diets and works out like crazy to stay in shape for the hit HBO show. Where everyone is naked at some point.

You were rocking a latex dress earlier this season. Either you have good genes or I need the number of your trainer.
“[laughs] During that first wardrobe fitting, I knew I would have my midriff showing. I thought, ‘I need to get serious’ and started going to ab classes more regularly.”
Is there a lot of pressure to stay thin?
“The other day I realized as long as I’m in this business, I’m going to be hungry. The camera really does add 10 pounds. I’m trying to stay under the weight I want to look like on TV. It’s a good incentive to stay slim and is probably adding years to my life… I’m vegetarian, so I live on carbs, but it’s always an effort. After any wardrobe fitting, I hit the gym three times more than the week before.”

Have they banned carbs from the True Blood craft services table?
They haven’t, which is cruel. All the women walk by craft services and keep going. I don’t even know why we walk by, we’re just torturing ourselves. Alex and Joe, they’re trying to add size, but we’re all working out like crazy and have diets. Skarsgard seems to be the only one that works out a lot and eats a lot and does fine.



I know this news isn’t going to shock anyone, but being a huge True Blood fan I find this story quite entertaining.

Lindsay Lohan can eat all the True Blood ice cream cake she wants but HBO is not interested in having her skank up their amazing hit show.

When Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) was asked at the Sony Playstation Move Lounge after the season 2 premiere if Lilo might possibly ever be a guest star on the show he replied, “Not in the forseeable future.”

That settles it. When a co-star of a show feels comfortable enough to make a bold statement like that..you know it’s gotta have some truth behind it.
