Adrianne Palicki Is The New Wonder WomanPosted on: February 17, 2011 | Comments Off
Meet the new Wonder Woman kids. I have no idea why it’s taken the entertainment industry so long to revamp Wonder Woman..they’ve been bringing back old male superheros from the grave for the past ten years. But it doesn’t matter. David E. Kelly is going to ruin it. Kelly has cast Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki to play the kick-ass super hero who used to take care of business with lasso and an invisible jet. But according to The Daily Beast, this version is going to be like a Wonder Woman Lite. In this WW reboot, we’ll see our heroin with three different identities. The Daily Beast has obtained a copy of Kelley’s draft of the Wonder Woman pilot script, dated December 16, 2010—and it’s laughably bizarre. In Kelley’s vision, Wonder Woman is presented as a weepy career woman-slash-superheroine with three identities (Wonder Woman; Diana Themyscira, the chairman of Themyscira Industries; and mousy assistant Diana Price) to juggle. Well that’s disappointing, no? I do not want a whiny Ally McBeal Wonder Woman. I want a bad ass superhero that all the little girls will want to be for Halloween this year. Get it right David E. Kelly. Michelle Pfeiffer, help us out here girl! You played a kick ass Cat Woman…make your husband do Diane Price right!
Nicole Richie Headed To New York For Television RolePosted on: December 1, 2009 | Comments Off
You can add Nicole Richie to the list of friends that Paris Hilton is going to disown. Since all of her running buddies have grown up and gotten real jobs and have become more successful than her, Paris is striking names off her BFF list left and right. She’s already publicly disowned the one time unknown Kim Kardashian, and I bet after Nic becomes a huge mainstream tv star that will be it for their friendship.
It’s been rumored that Nicole was leaving L.A. for NY and yesterday she disclosed the reason on her website. I am so excited to announce that I am officially working on a television project! I am creating a half hour scripted comedy for ABC in which I will be starring in, as well as producing. The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships. She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman’s role is: modern vs. traditional. Lately, I have been surrounded by many different women of all ages and walks of life. It amazes me to watch and observe how many different ideas there are about what a woman’s role should be in this era. I’ve taken these fascinating ideas, and compiled them into something that I think will be very special (and funny!). We’re still in the very early stages and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!
Lindsay Lohan Writes (and sells) Her Own TV ShowPosted on: November 24, 2009 | Comments Off
Color me shocked. I can’t believed Lindsay Lohan has it together well enough to even produce one coherent thought, much less develop her own television show..but according to her she has and someone bought it! “I wrote/created a show that I think I sold today! I just need to get someone else to take on the full season writing for it. Producing is another passion of mine, as well as directing/writing,” Lindsay wrote on her Twitter account Monday. “Excited to start this project!” she added. No word on what the show is about, but Lindsay hinted that her Machete co-star Jessica Alba and her hubby Cash Warren may be involved.
