Mia Michaels Out – Mary Murphy Back In On “So You Think You Can Dance”

There’s been some gossip that Mia Michaels was let go as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance so the incredibly annoying Mary Murphy can come back. According to Mia..that’s only half true.
“Last year when I was sitting on the [judges] panel, I knew it wasn’t the right fit because I felt too glossy sitting on the panel,” she exclusively tells us. “People were so focused on what I wore and my hair. I wanted to get dirty and back to the work. I am an artist and I’m a visionary. I need to paint my world now and not be constantly linked to So You think You Can Dance.”
Not that she doesn’t appreciate what SYTYCD has done for her. “It’s been a great platform,” Michaels says. “It was a wonderful platform. I’m staring at [my] two Emmys right now. It was an amazing, amazing thing for me but I feel like I have to fly. I have to now focus on Mia’s world.”

Good news everyone! No more ‘hot tamale train’…no more ear-drum busting screams. I’m pretty sure that high-pitched, annoying voice of hers has killed babies.
Cool and chill Mia Michaels has officially replaced Botox Mary Murphy as a full-time judge on So You Think You Can Dance. Yeah!
No word on why the show made the change, but I like to think they realized that the audience would like to watch some amazing kids dance and not have their brains fried by Mary’s chalkboard scratching voice.
Is Paula Abdul Defecting To “So You Think You Can Dance”

So the big news today was that Paula Abdul is leaving American Idol. Yada Yada Yada.
I don’t know..I just don’t buy it. Why in the hell would she leave such a sweet gig? It’s not like there is that much work out there for an over-the-hill pop star with an alleged pill addiction.
Or is there? Tonight on Access Hollywood AI executive producer Nigel Lythgoe said that he would hire Paula as a judge on his other hit show So You Think You Can Dance.

Two of Final Four Dancers On ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Hospitalized

Mary Murphy and Nigel Lithgow are working those kids to death on the summer hit television show ‘So You Think You Can Dance.’ Two of the final four dancers were taken to the hospital and treated for dehydration after collapsing during rehearsal. The names of the dancers were withheld for some reason, but my guess is that it was Courtney Galiano and Joshua Allen. Just a hunch.
Leading up to the finale, the dancers have been putting in 10 to 12 hour rehearsals a day, because “they want it so bad,” says Mary Murphy, adding “so, they keep pushing themselves and pushing themselves and not letting anybody know that, ‘Hey, I’m running on empty,’ and then it catches up on them and then they collapse.”
I have visions of Mary, Nigel and Mia standing in the corner of the rehearsal room with whips and chains and offering them the occasional bottle of water and bite of a power bar. Check out the live finale this Thursday on FOX at 8:00pm.
