Jessica Alba talked to Self magazine about the strange way she furnished her families home.

“I’ve bought 70 percent of my house off Craigslist! I’ve found so many things: couches, tables, lamps. I love the idea of recycling furniture and there being a history there,” she admits.

Before you get all skeeved out by the fact that she is buying furniture that other people ate, slept and had sex on, keep in mind she is probably buying gently used, quality goods. I hope.

Other things Jess talked about to Self:
Ashton Kutcher is a chameleon: “At political and Hollywood events, he’s serious and composed, but on-set, he’s a free spirit. I was one of the first people he ever punk’d: I was shopping with a friend and they closed down the store for ‘Danish royalty.’ And then some guy was walking around butt-naked trying on clothes. I was grossed out!”

The paparazzi: “They drive dangerously close when they’re following us and have caused a lot of almost-accidents. They curse, they’ve threatened people I’ve been with and they’ve called me every name under the sun and then taken a photo where I looked mad.”

Her body: “Pregnancy was the most incredible experience that I’ve ever had. So I’ll take the stretch marks. I’ll take the sagging boobs. I’ll take the cellulite I can never get rid of.”

I wish these High School Musical kids would grow up  a little more so I could like them and follow their careers.

And yes, I know they aren’t really in high school..but it just seems wrong to post pictures of Vanessa Hudgens in a bikini….but it’s for Self magazine so it must be OK. I mean, they are all about being healthy and living right…right?

Has Jessica Simpson’s recent weight gain caused her to pull out of doing a cover shoot for Self magazine? Of course they all say it was a “scheduling issue”, but Shape magazine has never had anyone Jess’s current size on their cover.

Self magazine Editor-In-Chief Lucy Danziger, however, told Access that a Jessica cover was in the works, but has stalled over scheduling conflicts. “Self would love for Jess to be on our cover,” she told Access. “We’ve had discussions about it but we couldn’t find a date… she’s very busy.”

Right.
