I say sort of confirmed because the although we had two major media outlets reporting the story…it’s coming from OK! Magazine and Us Weekly. And although these two publications aren’t as sleazy as Star or The Enquirer..they do get things wrong from time to time. But I hope this time this story is true. I think these two make a great couple. But it does seem very soon after Ryan’s split with Scarlett Johansson, with whom Sandra is supposed to be good friends with. But maybe her friendship with Ryan comes first. Here’s what OK! has to say about it in this week’s print issue.

A source confirms that Sandra, 46, invited the newly single Ryan, 34, and he quickly accepted. “Sandra planned all along to spend New Year’s at the restaurant with friends,” says the insider. “And she was thrilled that Ryan accepted her invitation to join in.”

They turned to each other in their time of need – Sandra had been talking to heartbroken Ryan on the phone to console him after his recent split from Scarlett. And she obviously has the healing touch.

The co-stars were friends even before teaming up to film their hit movie The Proposal in 2008. “I met Sandra through my producing partner about 11 years ago, and we’ve been good friends ever since,” says Ryan. “I never thought we’d do a film together, but it worked out.” In fact, they quickly became such good friends that Ryan says, “We vacation together.”

“I always say that chemistry is something impossible to manufacture,” he says. “The fact that you’re friends doesn’t necessarily equate to great chemistry. So we learned early on that we had it and I was so grateful for that. It’s like one of the few magical things about film that still exists. here’s no way to manipulate that. It’s either there magically or it’s not…”

The eyewitness adds that Sandra and Ryan sat next to each other throughout the evening. “By the way Sandra was glued to Ryan’s every word, they sure seem to be taken with each other.

“It was great to see Sandra laughing and having fun, and Ryan did a great job helping her relax and enjoy herself…”

I guess I can get on board with People’s choice for Sexiest Man of the Year.

Ryan Reynolds was never on my radar until I saw Adventureland. He does play a sexy bad boy. Unlike most people…I didn’t really find him that attractive in The Proposal..he was way too broody.

Anyhoo..not only is he hot..he’s funny.

On his hot body we all know and love:

“My body naturally wants to look like Dick Van Dyke,” says the 6’2″ actor, who suits up as the Green Lantern next year. “When I stop training, I turn into a skin-colored whisper.”

On how his wife and family are going to tease him about his new title:

“You just have to go with the flow,” he says of his new title. “This gives my family entre into teasing me for the rest of my life.”

“Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better,” Reynolds says. “The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.”

I was never a Ryan Reynolds fan so I never really paid much attention to the fact that he was married to Scarlett Johansson..although I do love her.

But that was until I watched Adventureland one night a few weeks ago at 3am when my insomnia was raging. Sure, he played a wanna-be musician loser but he did it hot-ly.

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds ran off and eloped over the weekend. And to be sure that their wedding ceremony was kept small and private they decided to tie the knot in the wilds of Canada.

The small wedding took place at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver. Guests included Scarlett’s mother, Melanie Sloan, and her brother, Adrian Johansson.

At first I thought the age difference was a little much, Scarlett is only 23 while Ryan is 31. But then I remembered that men are about 7-10 years behind women in maturity so it’s all good.
