Ladies and gentleman, your season 10 American Idol judges are now official.

The announcement that Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson will be on the judging panel for season 10 of American Idol was made at a live event Wednesday.

I can’t stand celebrities who write diet books. As if there isn’t enough confusion out there about how to be healthy in a fast food/low carb/fat free/high fructose corn syrup world. This time the celebrity idiot is

American Idol’s Randy Jackson. For some reason Randy feels like his gastric bypass surgery has qualified him to tell countless overweight and uniformed American’s how to get healthy. What?

The New York Post is feeding into the problem by promoting this piece of crap book. “Having tried every diet, every gym, even gastric bypass surgery, Randy now has this figured out so that followers can even eat down-home Southern favorites. I mean, in terms of body mass he’s no Keira Knightley, but the guy seems passionate and persuasive, like he knows what he’s talking about.”

No, New York Post, he does not know what he’s talking about. And neither did Dr. Freakin’ Phil and I bet you raved about his ridiculous book too. Whatev. The No-Nonsense Guide to Getting Fit, Eating Better, and Living Longer will be hit the shelves this November. But please don’t buy it. It won’t work. They never work and desperate people buy them because for some reason they trust the word of celebrity. The only way this diet plan is going to work for you is if Randy is actually willing to pay for your gastric bypass. That’s the only thing he might be actually be knowledgeable about.
