PETA’s steamy Veggie Love ad didn’t make the Superbowl cut last year. It was so racy that NBC turned down PETA’s $3 million offer to air it!

This year they have toned it down a bit and have compiled an ad using the casting video from the original Veggie Love ad.

PETA is going to be on the war path about this one. This picture popped up on the International Fur Trade Federations blog today.

The picture shows the actress choosing which dead animal she wants a coat made out of at the Kopenhagen Fur’s Studio in early March. For some reason her people never released this information.

“Wearing fur may be associated with something grandmotherish. Something you wear when you visit the opera, or if you are a rock star and wears it inside out. But I will advocate that both my generation and the younger generation can wear fur“, says Brooke Shields.

Here she began designing her own mink coat made of the best Danish fur skins. Brooke Shields chose to work with the short-haired, black mink.

I’m not he biggest supporter of PETA..I think they go way over the line sometimes. But I do think most of us would agree it’s really sort of gross to walk around with a dead animal draping your shoulders. And how often is Brooke making it to the opera these days anyway?

Kim Kardashian’s Twitter pictures always cause a stir…but usually because her new body is sick and we are all sort of wishing we had that booty of hers. But this time she tweeted a sexy pic of herself holding a kitty cat by the scruff of the neck and was immediately blasted by the crazy good folks at PETA. Maybe next time she’ll keep her vanity in check and maybe not tweet the “kitty-pussy-I’m-hot” picture.

On cue, PETA released a statement about Kim’s dastardly actions: “Kim Kardashian isn’t the only person who mistakenly thinks that because a mother cat picks up her kittens by the scruff of the neck that a supportive hand under the rump isn’t needed.”

Not to be outdone by the crazies at PETA (and sounding a little more logical)…The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals L.A. has also chimed in and said: “It is permissible to hold a kitten by his or her scruff for a brief amount of time… [but] the manner in which Ms. Kardashain is holding the kitten could lead others to mishandle animals.”

As soon as the backlash hit Kim downunder in Australia where she is working this week..she posted this on her blog:

“I have been getting negative comments regarding the way I was holding the kitty, but rest assured, the owner and vet were on set and showed me how to pick him up. The cat was not harmed in any way and is perfectly fine! I love animals and would never do anything to harm any animals.”

Say that title ten times fast.

Paris Hilton has brought the wrath of PETA down on her dumbass buy tweeting about purchasing a $4500 miniature pig.

“So excited for my new piglette to come home to me,” Paris tweeted. “I just picked out the cutest piggy from Patty at Royaldandie.com.”

Why is PETA coming down so hard on Paris? Lots of people have those silly little pet pigs that eat bacon in front of every morning.

But PETA is accusing Paris of setting a “wretched example” by treating animals like they’re “as disposable as her friends and fiancés. The Chihuahuas, ferrets, and kinkajous she’s paraded through her home in the past were not accessories, and pot-bellied pigs aren’t either,” they added.

Fur loving Lindsay Lohan got a face full of flour last night while on her way to the VIP room on the Champs-Elysées. A PETA supporter dumped an entire bag of flour over her head while shouting, “Lindsay Lohan—fur hag!”

LiLo pissed off PETA by rockin’ two different fur coats over the past few days while in London. Here’s what PETA has to say about the flour throwing:

“There is nothing remotely ‘fashionable’ about the torture and death of animals killed for fur. Lindsay Lohan might be able to ignore images of bloody animals skinned alive for their pelts, but we hope a dash of flour will help her rise to the occasion and forsake fur once and for all.”
