If you can believe the UK Sun….there will be a Kurt Cobain/Courtney Love biopic coming soon and if Court has her way it will star Scarlett Johansson and Robert Pattinson.

“This is a big money deal for Courtney. She has agreed to the film on condition that she gets to decide the main aspects of the project including director, casting, screenplay and music.

“Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop. She has been a bit wound up by his manners, but he is her number one choice to play Kurt.

“She is adamant Scarlett will play her. Scarlett is friendly with FRANCES BEAN, her daughter with Kurt.”

Nothing has been confirmed yet. Nothing. Not even the fact that Fight Club director David Fincher may be attached to the film already. Personally, I think these are both disastrous casting decisions. Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal or even bloated-up Mischa Barton would be better choices for a young Courtney. As for the role of the iconic Cobain…Joe Anderson (Across the Universe), Ryan Gosling or Ben Foster would be all be better picks.

According to Variety, Demi Moore is in negotiations to play Miley Cyrus’ on-screen mother in a new comedy titled, L.O.L.: Laughing Out Loud.

The movie is a remake of a 2008 French film about which a 15-year-old girl struggling with her first broken heart and a strained relationship with her divorced mother.

Finally. I can’t believe that Summit Entertainment didn’t do this a year ago. They’ve been making so much cash on the Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight saga that we expected them to option her other novel The Host and bring it to the big screen. But they’ve shown absolutely no interest. s

Instead, Nick Wechsler, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz came off the hip with some major cake and grabbed the rights for themselves. “The Truman Show” writer Andrew Niccol with be developing a script, according to a report in Variety. Wechsler and the Schwartzes are also the producers behind director John Hillcoat’s upcoming adaptation of Cormac McCarthy novel “The Road.”

Like “Twilight,” “The Host” is primarily a love story. In place of vampires we have well-intentioned extraterrestrial parasites called Souls. One such Soul, known as the Wanderer, joins itself to a dying human in the hopes of finding the remaining survivors of the human race.

Nicole Kidman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz, Stacy Ferguson (Fergie), Marion  Cotillard will all have to go through boot camp before they allowed to begin filming for the movie version of ‘Nine’.

Director Rob Marshall is putting them a Fame-style boot camp to make sure they can sing and dance adequately. Penelope Cruz says she is looking forward to it.

“We have a camp in London where you go from the dancing room to the singing room, to the acting room to the dialect coach. It’s all day like that and I can’t wait to get started.”

Sounds like a whole lotta work to me. I guess that’s why they get paid the big bucks. Since this is a musical, and I know most of you kids don’t know jack about musicals…here is a plot summary.
