Picture: First Look At Michelle Williams As Marilyn MonroePosted on: October 8, 2010 | Comments Off
Most of you know I am not a big fan of Michelle Williams. No reason..she doesn’t do anything for me. But Wow! Does she ever pull off this Marilyn Monroe look. Principal photography has started on My Week with Marilyn for 7 weeks at Pinewood Studios and on location in and around London. Michelle Williams plays the iconic Marilyn Monroe alongside with Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Dominic Cooper, Emma Watson and Julia Ormond. The film chronicles a week in the life of Marilyn Monroe in which she escapes the shackles of her Hollywood career and embraces British life with Colin Clark. In the early summer of 1956, 23 year-old Colin Clark, just down from Oxford and determined to make his way in the film business, worked as a lowly assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl, the film that famously united Sir Laurence Olivier and Marilyn Monroe, who was also on honeymoon with her new husband, the playwright Arthur Miller. Nearly 40 years on, his diary account “The Prince, the Showgirl and Me” was published, but one week was missing and this was published some years later as “My Week with Marilyn” – this is the story of that week. When Arthur Miller leaves England, the coast is clear for Colin to introduce Marilyn to some of the pleasures of British life; an idyllic week in which he escorted a Monroe desperate to get away from her retinue of Hollywood hangers-on and the pressures of work.
Marilyn Monroe Smoking Pot Home MoviePosted on: December 2, 2009 | Comments Off
Forgotten in someone’s attic for the last 50 years, a silent home movie of Marilyn Monroe smoking some herbage. The troubled MM appears relaxed and happy at a friends house getting her smoke on. The film was shot sometime in 1958-59. “I had it up in my attic all this time,” says the woman who shot the home movie and confirms that Marilyn was smoking marijuana. The friend wanted to remain anonymous for obvious reasons like she is probably a great-grandma by this point, said she regularly hung out with the starlet but doesn’t really have a reason for why it has taken her so long to part with the footage. “Home movies, that’s all it was,” she told NBCNewYork.com Tuesday. “It was never a big deal for me.” A collector named Keya Morgan bought the film for $275,000 and plans to sell it in an auction later.

Lindsay Lohan Gets New Wrist TattooPosted on: April 14, 2009 | Comments Off
Back in the day when a girl had a major change in her life like a divorce, break-up or losing her job, etc…she would just go chop her hair off or dye it blonde. These days we get new ink. Broken-hearted Lindsay Lohan visited a West Hollywood tattoo parlor a few days ago and had a quote from her idol and mentor Marilyn Monroe inked in cursive on her inner-wrist. “Everyone is a star and deserves the right to twinkle“. The wording is also surrounded by yellow, blue and green star. Yeah, see..the old school hair chop thing made you look butchy for a few months …but you hair always grew back just about the time you got your shit together. But tattooed words from a tragic figure that should most-def NOT be your guiding light in this life will not go away when you sober up.
