Four years after the fact, Nicole Richie has decided to address that whole “Rachel-Zoe-sickly-skinny” phase she went through back in 2006.

Richie, who was once a size 0, caused some fans to worry in 2006 when she was photographed looking alarmingly frail on the beach in a bikini. Around the same time, she addressed her thinness in Vanity Fair: “I know I’m too thin right now. I’m not happy with the way I look right now.”

“I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t,” she says. “It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible. An eating disorder is serious and it’s a disease.”

I’ve always believed that Nicole was not suffering from an ED but got caught up in the high fashion-sample-size-Rachel-Zoe world for a minute. She definitely starved her body for a short period, lived a very unhealthy lifestyle and in the end paid for it with a DUI arrest.

Strangely enough, she came out the other end a healthy young mom with a thriving career and business. For every three Brittany Murphy’s..Hollywood spits out one Nicole Richie. Not ideal but at least there’s hope for so many other confused and pressured young celebrities.

The Butterfly Foundation, a foundation that helps women combat eating disorders has defended a naked,  is defending an untouched magazine photo of supermodel Jennifer Hawkins, saying it promotes awareness of positive body image.

The 26-year-old wears only make-up on the cover of the February issue of Australian Marie Claire in an attempt to show women that even supermodels aren’t perfect.  But critics are complaining that tiny crease on her waist and one small dimple on her thigh does not a healthy body make. Opponents say that it’s just not right for the magazine to be pushing her as the pin-up for female body confidence. Even in her untouched state she is near perfection.

When asked why the foundation did not put forward a more average Australian woman, Ms Parker said magazines had tried that tactic in the past, to no avail.

“The thing is unfortunately it doesn’t make the same point, because Jennifer sells magazines and she creates awareness. If Marie Claire had chosen to put on their cover an ordinary women, say myself or a friend of yours, it would not have created the awareness it does.”

Yeah, I think could have gone with a curvy model at least. I mean really? She thinks that tiny “crease” on waist is a problem? While I am giggling on the inside that she has the tiniest of tiny fat roll….it don’t think this will do a thing for any womans body image issues.

Courtney Cox looks fab on the cover of next month’s Marie Claire. And according to Courtney, her fresh faced look is not from Botox.

Botox? I think it’s fantastic and also horrible. I mean, they’ve come up with this stuff that can make you not look angry. But you have to use it sparingly.

She explains, “I mean, I’m an actor, I’ve got to be able to move my face. When people start messing with their foreheads and can’t lift their eyebrows, that’s weird. It’s not that I haven’t tried Botox – but I hated it.”

Courtney also dished about her relationship with David Arquette and how real relationships take work. She also says that David loves watching her grow old. That is oddly sweet and romantic.
