Some are saying this photo is inspiring and beautiful and other say that Justin Timberlake looks airbrushed, silly and slightly gay. Not me mind you, but others.

This photo of JT, Kate Moss and designer Marc Jacobs will be featured in the May issue of Vogue to promote the Metropolitan Museum of Costume Institute Gala. This year’s theme: “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion“. The exhibition will spotlight 70 designers’ masterworks of haute couture and ready-to-wear as well as fashion photography.

I’m not one to mock the fashion industry…but has the theme ‘model muse’ not been done one hundred and eleven times? Aren’t these supposed to be some of the most creative people our time running this shit?

Honorary chair at May 4’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit is Marc Jacobs, with co-chairs Kate, Justin and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

I heart Marc Jacobs and if he wasn’t gay all the skin he is showing for Stephen Sprouse and Louis Vuitton would really be doing it for me. But as it is, I’ll just continue to lust over his Spring 2009 line.

Wasn’t it just about a year ago that Marc had a debilitating drug addiction and the fashion industry was freaking out? He sure looks clean and healthy and yummy now.
