I love this couple.

I love the fact that Katy Perry has (albeit temporarily) managed to settle down an admitted sex-addict-womanizer.

I love said serial lady-killer doting all over a non-idiot pop star.

I love all those things, but most of all I love the effect that Russell Brand has had on Katy’s tacky Las Vegas style. I mean, she looks soo great without cherries and playing cards and glitter all over her clothes.

The only thing I don’t like is that I’m 99.9% positive that this is very temporary relationship. Any day now Russell will catch the eye of another chick or start feeling smothered or some other non-commitment guy bulls**t.

I’ve probably already mentioned how cute I think these two are, but I have no illusions that Katy Perry and Russell Brand will have some everlasting love. But the fact that Katy has held womanizing Russell’s attention for more than a week is very impressive.

Looks like Kanye West wasn’t the only getting his drink on and acting a fool at the MTV VMA’s Sunday night. The New York Post says Katy Perry got sucked into by whatever crazy mind control Russell Brand has to make girls  kiss him all the time.

The MTV VMA host was spotted making out with Perry at Lady Gaga’s after-party at Avenue — after joking onstage that he had the hots for her.

The voracious womanizer was seen admiring Perry’s cleavage before kissing her as they sat on a banquette. An onlooker at the Meatpacking District hot spot told Page Six, “They were sitting very close together, flirting and whispering to each other with their faces very close. Then Russell leaned in for a long kiss. It didn’t look like this was the first time. He was looking extremely pleased with himself.”

Brand has made no secret of his passion for Perry. Onstage, he joked about her tight pants and mentioned that the two were staying at the same hotel. Later, backstage, he said, “I think I might have a bit of a thing for Katy Perry.”

It was busy weekend for Perry: On Friday, a spy also caught the “I Kissed a Girl” singer locking lips with John Mayer at Gold Bar.

Really Katy Perry? Russell Brand and John Mayer…all in one weekend. You couldn’t have picked two worse womanizers if you had tried. They are both like poster children for Sex Addicts Annoymous.

I thought Katy Perry was one of the smart ones. She’s really only been linked to one long term boyfriend and stays scandal free in this tabloid world. Maybe it was just a one time adreneline fueled lost weekend.
