Kirstie Alley credits her new reality show The Big Life as being part of the reason that has been able to lose 50 pounds. That and her new diet system, Organic Liaison.

“I’ve lost over 50 lbs…and I’m having the time of my of my life…30 more to goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,” she tweeted on Wednesday.

Earlier this year, Kirstie admitted that she had gained back all her Jenny Craig weight and was tipping the scales at 230 pounds. She weighed just 143 when she appeared on Oprah in a bikini in 2006 and now she’s starting to look slim again.

“Me and my Italian men friends,” she tweeted with the photo below.

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life, the new weight loss reality show chronicling Kirstie’s battle of the bulge, will premiere on A&E Sunday, March 21 @ 10 PM ET/PT.

Maybe she’ll get healthy this time. She makes me sad.

This sounds like a hot mess on a dirty plate…but I am sure going to watch it!

Failed diet spokesperson Kirstie Alley is going to star in a new A&E reality “docu-series” about her life as a single mom and her efforts to lose weight.The show will follow Kirstie as she launches a new weight-loss program. Her two teenage children will also be featured on the show.

What is she thinking???? She can’t even handle her business when the cameras aren’t on her 24/7..how is she ever going to handle reality tv pressure? And it’s sad..you know folks (like me) will just be tuning in to see her meltdown and binge on a box of Krispy Kremes.

The 58-year-old Alley, who starred in the sitcoms “Veronica’s Closet” and “Cheers,” appeared in the 2005 Showtime comedy series “Fat Actress.” She played a version of herself coping with Hollywood’s fixation on thinness.

She has also been a spokeswoman for the Jenny Craig diet program.

The A&E series is to air next year.

I’m sorry. I just don’t get it. Just a year ago Kirstie Alley was well on her way back to being a healthy, hot mama. She lost tons of weight while she was the Jenny Craig spokeswoman but then she just….’decided to cut herself some slack’. Bad move girl. She gained back the entire 75 pounds she lost plus some. All that work down the drain. It’s heartbreaking.

Kirstie told Oprah this week that she now sees the error of her ways and is ready to put in the work it takes to really get healthy and trim. Not only is she going to lost that weight again, she is going to launch her own weight loss product brand.  Her motivation? Michelle Obama’s awesome arms. (I’m with her on that one. Mrs. O is rocking some gorg arms.)

The former Cheers actress, who is developing her own weight-loss brand, said: ‘In a way it’s sort of… crazy. We’re in the middle of a recession, and I decide, yes, I’m going to create my own business… I’m going to lose 80 pounds… I’m going to be in a bikini again.’

We wish you luck girl….I don’t know if the weight loss industry is going to turn out to your forte….but who knows?
