Video: Kanye West “MONSTER” Featuring Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Bon IverPosted on: December 30, 2010 | Comments Off
Featuring more zombies, vampire models and soul-less hanging models than you can shake a stick at, Kanye West’s new video for Monster feels like watching a mish-mash of Hostel, I Am Legend, Underworld and Daybreakers….with maybe a touch of Eddie Murphy in A Vampire in Brooklyn. I don’t know. I can’t decide if Gay-Fish hit a homer with this one for creativity or maybe it’s just because it’s such a departure from your standard hip-hop video that I think it’s creative. I mean Rob Zombie has been doing this shit for years.
Playgirl Turned Down Kanye West Nude PicturesPosted on: November 12, 2010 | Comments Off
Kanye West deserves all the bad karma he gets. He continues to make an ass of himself anytime someone puts a microphone in his face. (See the Matt Lauer interview from The Today Show this week below). But that’s not what I wanted to tell you about. I wanted to mock Kanye and his sad little man parts because he offered nude pictures of himself to Playgirl magazine and they turned his dumb ass down. Indeed, Playgirl says they were offered the West pictures first, before they hit the web elsewhere. “It would have cost us $100,000, and we said no,” reveals the Playgirl rep, before adding, “we should have said yes.”
I disagree. They did the right thing.

Picture: Kanye West Banned Album ArtPosted on: October 18, 2010 | Comments Off
Kanye West is generating controversy yet again..this time with some nipply album art work. Kanye talked about the cover art for ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ being banned from stores over the weekend on Twitter. “Banned in the USA!!! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix!” (see picture) “In the 70s album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now. I know that cover just blew yall minds … I wish yall could see how hard I’m smiling right now!!! “In all honesty … I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers #Kanyeshrug! I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity.” “So Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can’t have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings.” But actually…his label has said they would stand behind him and nothing has been officially banned. He’s just made the smart business decision to change it so his album will sold in middle America Wal-Mart stores.
Video: Taylor Swift’s Song To Kanye West At VMA’sPosted on: September 13, 2010 | Comments Off
And now…the Taylor Swift / Kanye West thing is officially over. She finally had her closure on Sunday nights MTV Video Music Awards when she performed her new song You’re Still An Innocent. Taylor sang a somber and poignant song about Kanye West that instead of criticizing him, sympathized with his difficult time in the spotlight and his own admissions that his ego has often gotten in his own way. It was a bit too teenager/dramatic for me..but I suppose it’s a good thing that she got the stage to herself and a chance to end it taking the high road. “Thirty-two and still growing up now; who you are is not what you did,” she sang softly, adding: “You’re still an innocent.”
