Karma is a bitch. Conman / paparazzi Adnan Ghalib has been sentenced to 45 days in jail for leaving the scene of an accident.

Los Angeles District Attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison says Ghalib was taken into custody immediately after being sentenced Friday. He pleaded no contest last month to leaving the scene of an accident that injured a man who was trying to serve him with a restraining order. The order was sought by Spears’ father and was eventually granted.

Robison says Ghalib was also ordered to serve three years of formal probation and perform 45 days of roadside cleanup duty.

You can’t just put your slick, greasy moves on our favorite trainwreck and get away with it. Not when Daddy Spears in on the case. I mean seriously dude, you knew she was batshit crazy and you just made it worse. Shame on you.

Hero’s hottie Hayden Panettiere’s father has been charged with misdemeanor battery and could be facing one year in jail. Alan Panettiere was arrested in August on a felony domestic violence for allegedly hitting Hayden’s mom, Lesley.

The two had been seen arguing early that night at a Hollywood charity event and the argument escalated to the point that police had to be called later in the evening. Much later in the evening…the cops were summoned to the Panettiere’s West Hollywood home at 3:15am.

Big daddy has a court date next month and if the judge convicts him he could get the maximum of one year in jail. Both Alan and Lesley have been downplaying the entire thing saying it was “all a big understanding”.

Although a police report claims Alan struck Lesley three times, the couple insist “nothing actually happened. “[We] love each other very much and want everyone to know that the matter was completely blown out of proportion,”

Sounds like a drunk fight to me. Geesh…folks can’t even have a simple old drunk fight these days with that pesky domestic battery law in effect now.

Leighton Meester may play a privileged teenager on Gossip Girl, in real life she is straight from the streets. Well sort of. Star magazine reports that actress’ mother was serving a federal prison sentence in Texas when baby Leighton was born.

She was actually born in a halfway house and her mother was returned to prison when Leighton was three months old. She was then shipped off to be raised by relatives while her mom served her time for her role in “an illegal enterprise”. Star also says that Meester’s grandfather, father and aunt were also jail for selling drugs. It’s a family enterprise.
