Zach Braff Is NOT Dead..Internet HoaxPosted on: October 13, 2009 | Comments Off
Twitter was all abuzz Monday afternoon with the fake CNN story that Zach Braff had committed suicide. Why? I mean who starts these stupid rumors and why? Bored, mean teenagers who hate Scrubs?
He is most certainly not dead. Here is Braff’s update that he posted to his Facebook fan page: “Hi. I’m very much alive. Total internet rumor. Amazing how fast one douche can spread a lie. Be careful out there on the internets friends. Please spread the word… Video of me holding todays paper to follow… Love, zb” Although, I mean, really…he’ll probably never do anything better than Garden State so if he does die young..at least we have that.
Tom Green Is NOT DeadPosted on: July 7, 2009 | Comments Off
If only hackers would use their powers for good instead of hijacking celebrity websites to create an internet death hoax ….we might have a cure for breast cancer or at the very least male pattern baldness. Yesterday a report surfaced claiming that Actor Tom Green was in the hospital after an alleged assault stemming from a minor traffic accident. Turns out he’s still alive and well and posted this message on his blog to clear things up. “Hey gang. Just to set the record straight. Our website was hacked yesterday by the 4chan.org bastards! Damn you 4chan! They sent out a mass email and posted several erroneous stories online about my untimely demise. Turns out there is a prank website called www.fakeawish.com that creates these stories. These resulted in the much reported story last week of Jeff Goldblum falling off a cliff in New Zealand. He has since been on the Colbert report. Go tell those /b/ tards over at 4chan where to go!”
