It’s no secret that Katy Perry and Russell Brand are my favorite celebrity couple. And while I’m sure they will crash and burn under the pressure of being photographed and followed on a daily  basis, they are fun to watch for now.

Since they couldn’t spend Christmas day together, the couple jetted off to India as soon as they could after for a romantic getaway. Katy’s fabulous jumpsuit almost makes up for the fact that Russell is wearing skinny leggings. Men should NEVER wear skinny leggings. It’s disturbing.

Lindsay Lohan is being attack over claims that she saved 40 kids on a trip to India to make a BBC documentary about child trafficking. But according to the charity which organised the raid, neither Lohan, 23, nor the BBC, were present.

Lindsay twittered: “Over *40 children saved* so far…… Within one day’s work…… This is what life is about….. Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!” she said. She later added: “Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time…. hope everyone can see that.”

Her comments caused a stir in India and anger among those who led the raid.  The raids, which involved two months of planning by local police and magistrates, were on 15 workshops in central New Delhi where children as young as seven were making mirrored ornaments for export.

The children were freed on Tuesday, hours before Lilo  arrived in India and a day before she and her BBC Three film crew visited the Ashram rehabilitation centre where the children were taken before being returned to their families. “She was not even in the country when this raid happened,”

Lindsay Lohan left for India last night to work with the BBC on a documentary about the trafficking of women and children in India.

“Lindsay is trying to better herself and get away from her party-girl image. She wants to be taken more seriously,” an insider tells Life & Style.

I’m not sure who decided Lilo would be the right person to bring attention to this tragic problem, but maybe the time spent in India will shake the idiocy out of the partygirls head.

Someone should tell Lindsay if she really wants to be taken more seriously all she has to do is maybe not go to a club every single night of the week. And then get a job.

No real story here, I just thought it was interesting picture of Goldie Hawn meditating on a boat in India.

She is probably chanting in hopes that her only daughter won’t marry Alex Rodriguez.

Lindsay Lohan was at the Rock the Kasbah event Monday night and told reporters she’s booked for a humanitarian mission in India next month before Thanksgiving. Which is perfect timing really, because she doesn’t eat anyway.

And “good job” to whatever publicist/agent/hanger on who suggested that Lilo pull an Angelina to try to salvage her damaged reputation. This plan doesn’t have a snowball’s chance of working and wreaks of desperation, but way to try every trick in the book to save this chick.

“I’m going to India. Actually before Thanksgiving hopefully,” Lohan said at the Rock the Kasbah event in Los Angeles on Monday night. Though her mother Dina is nervous about the international jaunt, Lohan is set on going: “I think it’s important to have a voice when you have one.” She also revealed that she will be part of a BBC documentary about child trafficking in India.
