Gwyneth Paltrow’s country-music drama “Country Strong” premiered at No. 6 with $7.3 million. The Sony Screen Gems release casts Paltrow as a boozy singer trying to get her act straight after rehab.

Wow.. what a stinker. And Gwyn has been working hard to promote this flick too. I mean HARD. She’s even been talking about her very private marriage to Coldplay’s Chris Martin in interviews.  And she never does that.  Sony has actually been promoting this movie for about a year. Remember that video of Gwyn doing karaoke and all those stories about eating Southern fried chicken? Yeah…they’ve known for a long time this movie was going to suck.

True Grit ruled the movies this past weekend making $15 million -taking the No. 1 spot and becoming the first Western to top the $100 million mark since the 1990′s.

Dina Lohan says her hot mess of a daughter Lindsay Lohan is “deeply hurt” that A-lister (and totally has her life together) Gwyneth Paltrow mocked her.

Paltrow recently appeared on Glee and played a Spanish teacher who taught a lesson that included asking the class: “Lindsay Lohan is totally crazy, right?” And, she then quizzed the class in Spanish, “How many times has Lindsay Lohan been to rehab?”

I think Dina is just hatin’ because once upon a time Lindsay Lohan could have been a Gwyneth Paltrow. Both studied acting as children and had dreams of being movie stars, but where Gwyneth’s parents gave her a solid foundation and pushed her in the right direction Lindsay’s parents just used her as a meal ticket.

This is the first time Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have been photographed together in…..a very long time.

And they look happy.

No sign of Beyonce though at Christy Turlington’s beach party over the weekend. But how cute are Gwyneth and Jay-Z being BFF’s?

At least that’s my educated guess as to whom she is speaking of in this months issue of Vogue. Gwyneth Paltrow admits that she can be the ice queen most people think she is and hints at some bad feelings from her former bestie Madonna.

“Oh yes, I can be mean. I can cave in to gossip. I can ice people out and I can definitely harbour revenge. In fact, I’m having a situation right now with a friend where I’m feeling pretty angry. But revenge is corrosive and it doesn’t make me feel good,” she said.

“I’ll wake up in the morning and think, ‘Ugh, I feel terrible’, and suddenly realise, ‘Ah, that’s why. I’m holding on to so much hate.’”

She also fuelled speculation that the friend in question could be Madonna, who previously employed Paltrow’s new business partner Tracy Anderson as a fitness trainer.

“Yeah, it’s good that she doesn’t train Madonna any more. It was too much. She keeps people waiting – it takes up your whole day,” Paltrow said.

Because that’s enough to ruin a friendship. Having to wait a minute on your shared $700 an hour trainer.
