She lives in London. She’s married to a rock star. Her best friends are hip hop artists. She has a fantastic acting career and of course GOOP. So why does Gwyneth Paltrow want to be a country music artist?

The actress and singer, who has been singing all over the place throughout the past year — from ‘Glee’ to the Oscar-nominated song for ‘Country Strong’ — will release her first full-length album if the new contract comes through with Atlantic Records. Paltrow, who most recently sang the Oscar-nominated ‘Country Home,’ has been in talks with the record giant and may get a contract worth approximately $900,000.

Probably because someone told her she was good in Country Strong. Or maybe because her new BFF is country star Faith Hill. Her time spent in Nashville filming Country Strong obviously made a huge impact on her.

Gwyn gets a bum wrap on most blogs, but I’ve always like her. I see where she is coming from and I don’t think she’s pretentious. I think she is just living her life. I also think she’s had some major Botox done lately.

Check out that perfectly smooth forehead.

I’ve already said that Gwyneth Paltrow’s red carpet look last night was one of my favorites and today I noticed in a close up shot of her face that her almost 40 year old forehead looks extremely smooth.

I’m just saying…..

Although to be fair her forehead wasn’t as stretched and smooth as certain former Oscar host.

Now that’s a shiny, smooth wrinkle free head!

I won’t bore you with every single picture from Sunday nights 2011 Academy Awards Show.

Most people bitched the entire night about what a snooze-fest the entire deal was from beginning to end. Blah-blah fashion..blah-blah hosting…but I didn’t think it was that bad.

Anne Hathaway and James Franco had their moments, though I swear Franco was high the entire show..and Anne just seemed so genuinely happy to be there that I couldn’t help but feel her positive energy every time she was on screen. (re: The Hugh Jackass song…the fringe dress wiggle)

Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law probably had the funniest bit of the night and I’ll try to get that video up as soon as I can.

But in the meantime, enjoy the pics of the people that I thought looked interesting.

A lot of people didn’t like Gwyneth Paltrow’s look, but she was actually my favorite of the night…until she sang. Bore-o-rama. Her Grammy song with Ceelo …much better.

Natalie Portman looked pretty good in purple but Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson looked better. And not just because Nat is knocked up. The color worked better on Mila and Scar. Plus Scarlett had the lilac lipstick on..fierce.

Celine Dion and Penelope Cruz…yeah..these two bitches both just had babies. Celine had twins for pete’s sake! They both looked fantastic. Motherhood agrees with Penny…her hubby Javier doesn’t seem to be faring as well. He looks tired. And bloated.

Jennifer Hudson’s body is sick these days…but her boobs looked smushed in that dress. Still..she is drop dead gorgeous.

Colin Firth was dreamy….Valentino was just so….Valentino. Love him. I have a huge crush on Robert Downey, Jr so he makes the list.

Helen Mirren was dressed so appropriately that she looked like 10  years younger and Helena Bonham Carter is just fun ..I mean you can’t not put a woman with a giant Union Jack on her leg on favorite list, right?

Reece Witherspoon’s dress was top notch..the hair? Way too Elle from Legally Blonde. Halle Berry and Hailee Steinfeld both take the prize for most feminine and just plain pretty. It’s nice to see a teenager dressing like a teenager in Hollywood.

Gwyneth Paltrow looks much more ‘fit’ than anyone thought under her clothes. Who knew she had Madonna abs? And look at those gams! Nice.

I’m not even gonna say that she looks good for having two kids because G is just looking good period. Kids or no. And good for her for drawing the line with celebrity trainer extradordinaire Tracy Anderson on her upper body. She didn’t let her turn her arms into veiny messes like her BFF Madonna:shiver:

Or like Cameron Diaz.

I mean wow. That’s a serious body. A serious 75-minutes-a-day-sweating-in-your-private-home-gym -in-your-swanky-London-flat-while-your-vegn-chef-prepares-your-organic-carb-less-macro-meals-and-your-Norwegian-nanny-teaches-your-kids-to-speak-Cantonese body.

People hate on Gwyneth Paltrow so much these days. I get that GOOP is annoying to some people, but really Gwyn is just an all around good gal. She’s an entertainer that isn’t afraid to go outside her comfort zone (see her Grammy performance with Ceelo) and most of her movies aren’t that bad. I love that she and her husband are BFF’s with Jay-Z and Beyonce proving that they are open-minded and embrace all forms of music and their friends very different lifestyles.

And unlike most, I love it that she manages to keep her marriage and private life PRIVATE. She proves to all the celebrity whiners that you can have a happy marriage and normal kids and not be on TMZ every night.

And honestly, if you can past the ridiculous expensive hotel recommendations she sends out via GOOP then the lifestyle blog is really kind of interesting.

Add to all this cool stuff about Gwyn the title of Peacemaker. She somehow with just a few text messages ended the feud between Glee creator Ryan Murphy and Kings of Leon.

Last December, Murphy slammed the  Kings of Leon and their refusal to grant Glee the right to cover their songs on television.

“F— you, Kings of Leon. They’re self-centered assholes, and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument.”

Nathan Followill, the band’s drummer, fired back on Twitter, saying, “Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f**k.”

In stepped Gwyn with her diplomatic texts and viola! all is good. Glee stars Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet even went to the Kings of Leon’s Grammy after-party.

So stop hating on Gwyn. She rocks!
