Gwyneth Paltrow Says Screw the GOOP Haters

Posted on: February 4, 2009 | Leave a Comment

I seem to be in the minority of folks who dig Gwyneth Paltrow’s new lifestyle website and newsletter GOOP. I find it interesting and entertaining to see how The Gwyn lives. Unrealistic as it may be for most of us, she has some fun and interesting tips, recipes and fashion advice on occasion. In the March issue of Elle, Gwyn tells us what she thinks of the bad rap she and GOOP have been getting.

“F–k the haters! I saw this blog of people writing horrible things about me and for a second your ego is so wounded. How could people hate me, my intentions or what I’m trying to do? I’m a good person and I’m trying to put good things into the world.”

She also sends out a clear message that her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is not in trouble…it’s just none of your business.

“It doesn’t behoove us to be a public couple. He certainly doesn’t want to be that. We’ve never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will. If people think that that means we’re not together, then—ha ha ha!—so be it.”

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Launches New Lifestyle Website

Posted on: September 23, 2008 | Leave a Comment

Gwyneth Paltrow is a younger/hipper/newer/greener Martha Stewart. (I know Rachel Ray or Katie Brown would be closer in age and make more sense…but Gwyn could never been compared to glutinous Rachel Ray and Katie Brown is just too freakin’ perky)

Gwyneth’s new website, GOOP, is the latest brand expansion in a recent Paltrow-blitz on the public. Now in addition to her PBS culinary show with Mario Batali, Spain…On the Road Again, and her collaboration with celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson on a series of fitness DVD’s, you can get life coaching from Gwyn on line.

She writes, “I love to travel, to cook, to eat, to take care of my body and mind, to work hard. I love being a mother who has to overcome my bad qualities to be a good mother. I love being in spaces that are clean and nice.” Her life lessons include, “Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you’ve never been to. Learn something new. Don’t be lazy. Workout and stick with it.”

I guess the newer and more chipper Gwyn has definitley gotten over ther PPD and she is ready for the world to perfect. Her messege may be a bit more mellow and meditative, but it’s still very Martha. Hurry on over to GOOP and sign up for the newsletter and get lots of zen-like Gwyn stuff sent straight to your inbox.
