I love love love Carrie Fisher. For lots of reasons. But mostly because she does not give a bleep and she just tells the truth about things that most people in the industry want kept quiet.

Like this juicy tidbit. It’s been rumored since the 80′s that John Travolta was gay, but his legal team and his church (Scientology) have worked very hard to keep the rumors to minimum. But apparently Princess Leia cares not about being sued or attacked by aliens because she publicly outed her buddy Johnny T. in the Advocate.

The interviewer asked: “I know you and Travolta go way back, so let’s get really blunt here: Does his (Travolta’s) legal team have any business demanding Gawker remove a recent post suggesting that he’s given (bleep) jobs?”

Fisher answered: “Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.”

As usual, my boy Johnny Depp gave a cracker jack interview to Vanity Fair for their January issue.  In addition to talking about how the press torture Angelina Jolie and how much she reminds him of Liz Taylor (natch) he showed us how he likes to f*** with the man.

On Disney’s thoughts of Jack Sapparow: “They couldn’t stand him. They just couldn’t stand him,” Depp says of Disney’s reaction to his controversial interpretation of Sparrow. “I think it was Michael Eisner, the head of Disney at the time, who was quoted as saying, ‘He’s ruining the movie.’ Depp reveals to Smith, however, that he remained unfazed by the studio’s hysteria. “Upper-echelon Disney-ites, going, What’s wrong with him? Is he, you know, like some kind of weird simpleton? Is he drunk? By the way, is he gay?… And so I actually told this woman who was the Disney-ite… ‘But didn’t you know that all my characters are gay?’ Which really made her nervous.”

Gawker printed this saucy little post about James Franco that I found particularly interesting. There have been tons of rumors about the the actors sexuality and if he’ll ever come out of the closet or not. By the sounds of this…he might be open to the idea.

Let the rumor mills roll: James Franco dodged some dicey questions at a panel discussion following Sunday’s Tribeca Film Fest premiere of his doc, “Saturday Night.”

“One of the guests asked James a few things that alluded to his sexuality,” says a panel-goer, explaining that the line of questioning was in regards to Franco’s on-camera kiss with Will Forte on “SNL.” “Franco’s rep stopped him from answering, and the crowd got really uncomfortable.”

But Franco didn’t seem to mind: “Will and James were taking pictures of themselves with a Polaroid at the afterparty [at 48 Lounge],” says a spy. “And then James turned to Will and joked, ‘Uh-oh, this one is going to make people talk!’ Will even told a passerby, ‘James is a very passionate kisser!’”

Over the weekend we reported that everyone in the biz is pretty much positive that it’s Shelby Lynne that will be People magazine’s big May 5 gay reveal. But Queerty.com says otherwise.

They think that it will be Chely Wright, a 39-year-old American County Music Award winner. Here’s why:

As it turns out, Wright, who’s been absent from the industry for a half decade, has a new album and memoir coming out (hah!) May 4. The day before her planned big reveal. The book is titled Like Me: Confessions of a Heartland Country Singer. The album is titled Lifted Off The Ground. And both should see a huge spike in sales with the buzz of a coming out.

Sounds like good strategic planning to me if is her, but then why has Shelby Lynne’s representation been pulling the “no comment” card all weekend? Seems like if it wasn’t her they would just say no. But then again…have you ever heard of Shelby Lynne, or Chely Wright for that matter,  before this story broke?  One lesbian outing may have just saved two country careers.

You may or may not have heard that People magazine will have a celebrity outing on it’s May 5th cover. It’s not gonna be Ricky Martin big or someone we already know is gay but refuses to stick his/her big toe out of the closet (Tom Cruise – Queen Latifa). It’s going to be someone you’ve probably never heard of, but it’s definitely going to re-boot her career.

The consensus online by the people who are in the know, it’s that it’s country singer Shelby Lynne. Yeah, the name barely rang a bell with me either seeing as I hate modern country music.

But here’s why it’s more than likely her:

The person is going to a female country singer.

The person isn’t widely recognized.

Shelby Lynne (who previously discussed is on no one’s radar) had ooodles of interviews and talk show appearances scheduled after the May 5th cover will be released.
