Natalie Portman announced that she and choreographer Benjamin Millepied are engaged and expecting their first child this morning.

The couple met during the production of Black Swan. Portman’s performance in the film has earned her nominations for a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award.

Bret Michaels asked his on-off girlfriend of 16 years to marry him Monday night on the finale of this VH1 reality show, Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It.

The first thing they did afterwards? They went home to tell their daughters, Raine, 10, and Jorja, 5, the great news, Michaels tells PEOPLE. The rock star told them, “I did it! We’ll all be together forever! Family hug!” When he got down on his knee, Michaels, 47, asked Gibson, 39, “to be my wife. Please say yes or the rejection will kill me right now.”

I’m surprised that Big K is jumping from one bad marriage into another one, but I suppose the fact that this one would actually carry his child without concern for her size double 00 body was just something he couldn’t resist.Walsh suffered a miscarriage last fall after the pair had announced that she was pregnant with their first child.

It’s finally happened. Finally. Finally one of Diana’s beautiful boys is getting marred.

Finally..Price William will make an honest woman of that sweet little Kate Middleton. Although the public announcement was just made today, the couple have been engaged since last October when Prince William proposed on a safari vacation in Kenya.

The pair will wed in the spring or summer, according to a statement from the prince’s official residence Clarence House. Recent speculation about the site of the event has focused on Westminster Abbey, where the funeral for prince’s mother, Princess Diana, was held in 1997.

“Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course,” the statement said

“Prince William has informed The Queen and other close members of his family,” the statement said. “Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father.”

The royal wedding will take place in 2011 and will no doubt bring major drama the like of which have not been seen since his parents married back in 1981. The rumors that Wills and Kate will marry at the same church and that Kate will use the same dress designer as the late Princess Diana have already started.

What a fairytale for Kate. Not only is she going to be a frigging Princess and eventually Queen..she gets to wear those outrageous hats the rest of her life and no one can shit to her about it.

As if in immediate response to her ex-husband’s recent engagement, Jessica Simpson has confirmed that she is no officially engaged to her boyfriend of only five months, Eric Johnson.

I was expecting some sort of reaction and/or crazy action from Jessica after news of Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo’s engagement took over the tabloids last week. But I really thought she would just do another ‘how I lost 20 pounds in two weeks’ magazine cover or something.

Getting her old body back would have been better revenge on Nick than agreeing to marry some dude she hardly knows. But hey..being married helped her career last go round. So best of luck to her.
