Amanda Seyfried-Megan Fox-Lauren Conrad Elle Magazine CoversPosted on: September 9, 2010 | Comments Off
Elle magazine highlights 25 – 25 year old actresses in their October 2010 issue. Among the chosen was Amanda Seyfried, Megan Fox Lauren Conrad and Gabourey Sidibe. Lauren Conrad, on where she thought she’d be in her twenties: “I was never that girl who just wanted babies. I wanted a career before all of that.” Amanda Seyfried, on the best and worst things about turning 25: “The best thing is, I’m happy. The worst is that I’m scared; the scariest thing is that I know it can’t be easy – the years to come.” Gabourey Sidibe, on celebrating her twenty-fifth birthday: “Part of me thought it would be weird if people knew I was a grown-up playing a teenager in Precious. So I had a twenty-first-birthday party. We had drinks and went to a strip club called Shotgun Willie’s.” Megan Fox, on being married: “When I talk about my husband [Brian Austin Green], I feel as if people roll their eyes. It’s like when you’re 16 and order a martini, and the waiter says, ‘Do you think I’m stupid?’ They can’t grasp that I’m old enough to be married.”
Julia Roberts Is Hindu…Doesn’t Believe In BotoxPosted on: August 5, 2010 | Comments Off
Everyone is buzzing about the fact that Julia Roberts told Elle magazine that she doesn’t believe in Botox…but I’m more interested in the fact that she and her entire family are now Hindu. How interesting. “The entire Roberts-Moder family, goes to temple together to “chant and pray and celebrate. I’m definitely a practicing Hindu.” says Roberts. Well then she was definitely the perfect fit for Eat Pray Love. What a great, peaceful and honest way to raise your kids. Coming from someone who raised Katy Perry-style….this is incredibly refreshing to hear. On Botox and plastic surgery: “It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as older persons. I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates. I want my kids to know when I’m pissed, when I’m happy, and when I’m confounded. Your face tells a story… and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office.”
Hayley Williams In A Tutu For EllePosted on: June 17, 2010 | Comments Off
Believe it or not, I’m posting this for my four year son who has a huge crush on the girl from “Hair and more”. I love this picture of Hayley Williams in a $1300 silk jacquard Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit…the tutu is from her own wardrobe. “I don’t know if I’ll ever be 100 percent comfortable in a dress onstage.” “I’m a loud person,” says 21-year-old Hayley Williams, Paramore’s fiery-haired, Lilliputian front woman, whose vocal adrenaline has made the band’s ferocious pop punk more than just a teenage phenomenon. The band’s 2009 album, Brand New Eyes, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard chart, delivering the kind of angst-filled rock that makes you want to crank up the volume and curse every loser who’s ever wronged you. Williams found inspiration from Paramore’s own internal drama: In the midst of its sold-out European tour in 2008, the group canceled several dates. Williams, who dated Paramore guitarist Josh Farro (they broke up prior to the tour), says she and the boys needed some time apart. “I felt a little overprotected,” she admits. “But now I can take care of myself.” Besides, the Tennessean, who grew up adoring the Distillers’ Brody Dalle and prefers a uniform of jeans and Nikes, has never been much of a girly girl. “[Onstage], my everyday thing would be a cut-up T-shirt and a good pair of pants that don’t show booty cleavage when you headbang.”—J.V. Elle Exactly what every young lady needs. A good pair of head-banging-no-butt-crack-showing-jeans.
Kristen Stewart ELLE Magazine Pictures and VideoPosted on: May 6, 2010 | Comments Off
Kristen Stewart is ELLE magazine’s June cover girl and she rocks it. I sometimes forget she is still a teenager. She has such an awareness of herself and that some women don’t get until it’s too late to use it. Great pictures and an interesting interview and video. It’s nice to hear her respond to her critics that she looks miserable all the time and fight back against the people who always accuse her of being indifferent to her success. Her comment about having to stop herself from crying sometimes gives you some idea about how much stress this 19 year-old girl is under.
On the madness that has become her life: “It’s insane! Once somebody finds out, you have to get the hell out of wherever you are. People freak out. And the photographers, they’re vicious. They’re mean. They’re like thugs. I don’t event want to drive around by myself anymore. It’s fucking dangerous.” On her loss of privacy: “Somebody knocked on my hotel room door and asked for a light, then said that they were a big fan. I was like, ‘Do you really need me to light your cigarette? How do you know what room I’m in?’ I can’t be by myself and I like being by myself.” On criticism of her public manner: “I think it’s funny that when I go onstage to accept an award, they think I’m nervous, uncomfortable, and awkward—and I am—but those are bad words for them.” On her red-carpet demeanor: “People say that I’m miserable all the time. It’s not that I’m miserable, it’s just that somebody’s yelling at me…I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying…It’s a physical reaction to the energy that’s thrown at you.” On caring: “I hate it when they say I don’t give a shit, because nobody cares more than I do. I’m telling you I don’t know anybody who does this that gives a shit more than I do.” On Team Edward vs. Team Jacob: “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, No they won’t! They’ll ask for specifics.” If video doesn’t load click here.
