Way to go Matt Lauer. He did not let Dina Lohan off the hook the morning when he interviewed her on The Today Show. After Dina complained about how harsh Lindsay’s sentence was in the first place, he  prodded her noting that there were some observers who thought the 24-year-old actress had this coming to her because of bad behavior.

Most of my friends think I’m nuts for watching The Today Show every day..but Matty L.’s interview are like entertainment gold. Remember the Tom Cruise Glib-ness?

“I think that’s all propaganda and what people are reading,” she told him. “As you know, you’re in the business of entertainment, so I think a lot of it is pre-orchestrated and you’re reading things that are not based on fact.”

Lauer also asked her about a belief that her daughter was not well-served by those around her, including her parents.

“As a parent, you have to let her go a little bit,” she said. “When she went out to Los Angeles when she was 19, I had to let her go and let her live and fall and fail and survive. Without failure, there’s no success. I was there in close proximity, but you can’t make your child not go out and go to a club and not get behind the wheel of a car. I certainly don’t condone any of that behavior.”

She said she had put her daughter in drug rehab the first time, and argued with Lauer over how many times Lindsay had been in drug treatment.

She said her daughter’s life has been under a microscope because of tabloid interest.

“You can’t blame it all on the tabloids,” Lauer said. “She’s made some wrong decisions.”

Lohan said Lindsay will be coming to New York. California is “a wonderful state,” she said, but “it’s a different game you play there, the court system is a little different.”

Forget the drugs and SCRAM bracelet drama…this is the BEST Lohan story EVER!!!!!

The incident started when Dina, Lindsay’s mom, ordered a cake for son Cody’s 14th birthday, and tried to get it for free with Lindsay’s Carvel “Black” Card, a promotional gift that entitles Lindsay to free ice cream for 75 years.

Lindsay was not present and according to the Carvel peeps Dina has abused the free ice cream card so much that they have finally cut the Lohan OFF!

When Dina was denied the yummy cake..she called the po-po!

“Finally he gave up and gave me my card back. But he told me, ‘You can have the card, but you can’t have the cake! “It just shows how we [Lohans] get treated so much worse than regular people.”

But don’t feel bad for Dina until you read the Carvel official statement:

“Unfortunately, the Lohan family has been abusing the card. While the card was issued in Lindsay’s name only, her extended family has repeatedly used the card without her present. At first, we graciously honored their requests while explaining that the Black Card was not a carte blanche for unlimited Carvel Ice Cream for the extended Lohan family and friends. After more than six months of numerous and large orders for ice cream, we finally had to cut off the card and take it back.”

Is that hilarious or what???? Abusing an ice cream card. Only in the Lohan family. The worst thing is, that was probably the last exclusive black card Lindsay Lohan will ever have.

Dina Lohan is terrified her ex-husband is going to send her meal ticket to rehab, Lindsay Lohan is terried of going to rehab…so instead of changing their dysfunctional lifestyles they have decided to pay off the guy that could ruin it all.

Sources report that Dina and Lindsay are going to offer Michael seven figures if he agrees to shut his mouth and go away. Ix-nay on the interventions and rehab and stop talking to the press…and crying on tv.
