Lady Gaga Reveals Her Fitness & Diet RegimePosted on: February 18, 2011 | Comments Off
Whisky and yoga. Ad don’t forget about the weed. “I am on the drunk diet,” Gaga said. “I live my life as I want to, creatively. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working. But the deal is I’ve got to work out every day, and I work out hung over if I am hung over. And it’s about the cross-training and keeping yourself inspired. I have to say, I do a ton of yoga.” Like I always say…it’s all about balance.

Elizabeth Hurley Eats One Meal A DayPosted on: November 12, 2009 | Comments Off
Finally a celebrity is honest about their crazy restrictive diet to keep their super thin figure. 44 year-old Elizabeth Hurley recently revealed that she gave up coffee and wine because they bloat older women and eats only once a day to stay trim.
Miss Hurley has revealed how she has had to cut out coffee and wine from her diet. Now, instead of enjoying a glass of claret when she is at a social gathering, the model and actress has turned to vodka to keep her midriff trim. Asked whether she missed wine, she said: ‘No, I don’t miss having a glass of wine because I’ve switched to vodka. I don’t really like vodka that much but if I’m at a party I have a small one with a lot of fizzy water and a huge squeeze of lime. Initially it’s like medicine but I’ve got used to it now.’ Miss Hurley, who lives in Gloucestershire-with husband Arun Nayar and her seven-year-old son Damian, admitted: ‘I used to drink an awful lot of coffee, but I was told after the age of 40 you have to be careful with coffee and wine. Apparently, that can be one of the reasons older women get bloated around their stomach.’ With her acting career sidelined, Miss Hurley has instead concentrated on her swimwear range and modeling. Following the birth of Damian, she revealed how she only eats one meal a day and often goes to bed hungry. It was also reported last year that she has just one square of organic chocolate or one tablespoonful of ice-cream when she wants a treat.
Olympic Gymnasts Eat Only 1200 Calories A DayPosted on: September 16, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Olympic golden boy Michael Phelps recently revealed that during training he eats up to 12,000 calories a day to fuel his body. He gets to indulge in fried egg sandwiches, chocolate chip pancakes and french toast while his fellow Olympic athletes eat like rabbits to keep to their weight down. Gold medal gymnast Nastia Liukin says she eats closer to 1200 calories day when she is training. “Gymnasts eat totally different,” A typical breakfast is “eggs or yogurt or oatmeal,” said Liukin, who took the gold for the individual all-around in Beijing. “Then for lunch I’ll have a salad with chicken or fish or some sort of protein and then for dinner I keep it really light with probably just a piece of fish and vegetables. That lean combo is just enough “to keep me energized,” she said, “but I do have a few power bars before my practices.” Not that this sounds particularly unhealthy for a petite 18 year-old girl, but it does sound like a miniscule amount of food for an Olympic athlete. Eating disorders run rampant through a lot of female dominated sports, gymnastics and ballet being the worst. The morale of this story is to put your 5 year in old daughter in swimming lessons and not tumble class.
Beyonce On Strict Diet To Lose “Etta James” WeightPosted on: September 3, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Beyonce is on strict diet to lose the 20 pounds she had to gain to play blues legend Etta James in the upcoming film Cadillac Records. That’s not such a big deal, but she has to lose the weight fast for her next project in a psychological thriller titled Obsessed. It’s such a time sensitive issue that she even had the following stipulations at her recent interview and photo shoot with Marie Claire. “no chips, no candy, no desserts, no junk food, no fried food”. Putting on the pounds ‘was so much fun’, she confesses. ‘But I had to lose it. I was so angry with myself. I was like, “Doh!” Why do you have to go through this?”‘ You can’t blame a girl for wishing to avoid temptation, particularly one whose living is partly dependent on her looks.’ You can read the rest of the interview here. It’s full of interesting tidbits about Beyonce’s alter ego, her decent into darkness as Etta James and who “Irreplaceable” was really about.
