Kathy Griffin Talks About Plastic Surgery and Diet PillsPosted on: September 3, 2009 | Comments Off
It’s odd that even someone who started out working on a comedic career ended up falling into the Hollywood beauty pit. Comedian Kathy Griffin has always been honest about her plastic surgery and has even turned the pain and stupidity of it into material for her act. Now that Kathy has a very unnatural flat tummy and sculpted body she is coming clean with just how far she fell into the pit. In her memoirs (yes Kathy Griffin has a memoir) Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, that hits stores next month..she talks about where the addiction to surgery and diet pills came in. “What I can’t figure out is why I wasted time worrying about my looks. I am a comedian. I’m not on the runway in Milan. I was told repeatedly, ‘You would be pretty if it weren’t for that nose. You’d work more if it weren’t for that nose. Hey have you considered getting a nose job?’ You would think I had a nose the size of Texas. Griffin also became obsessed with her weight. She would take back-to-back step aerobics classes, starve herself all day and then binge at night. She tried diet pills, and even took things a step further. “I am very proud of my two weeks on speed,” she jokes. “It was full-on illegal speed. I took it to lose weight, which is not very smart.” The result: “I just felt three times as hungry afterward,” she says. Or course, in the end she found that a strict diet and exercise were really the only sustainable solutions to her problems. I think I just covered the only interesting bit in the book…but if you care enough about KG’s life you can pick up the book in just a few shorts weeks.
Britney Spears Taking Diet Pills Before ConcertsPosted on: July 9, 2009 | Comments Off
I knew when she started changing her hair color again that something was up. Sources close to Britney Spears say that her father is concerned that she is self-medicating with over-the-counter diet pills and energy drinks since she isn’t able to get her hands on anything else. The pop star’s conservator-dad, Jamie, was especially alarmed when he caught his daughter popping over-the-counter diet pills, which she washed down with Red Bull, before a recent performance. “Britney was definitely trying to get high by taking too many diet pills and energy drinks,” says a family insider. “Jamie thinks the combination of the two is making her whacked-out and, causing her to lash out in weird angry rampages.” “Britney uses green-tea supplements, [Lab 88's herbal ephedra-free] Metabo Speed XXX, Dexatrim and apple cider vinegar to control her weight and energy levels,” adds the insider. “She also pours those 5-Hour energy drinks into her Red Bulls.” To stay out of trouble with her father, “Britney has her assistant buy the over-the-counter items for her,” says the source. “But she told Kevin about it because she doesn’t want him to think that she is addicted to harder stuff and take her two sons [Sean Preston and Jayden] away from her.” Don’t try this at home kids. Mixing that many OTC uppers would kill anyone with normal chemical balances.
Britney Spears Using Diet Pills To Lose WeightPosted on: December 5, 2008 | Leave a Comment
Star magazine says that Britney Spears new toned body is a result of a deadly mix of diet pills and colonics. She looks like she is spending hours in the gym and living a healthy life, but behind closed doors “she’s using pills to kill her appetite, is plagued by insomnia and shaking fits – and feels totally trapped.” In the Dec. 15 issue of Star, on sale now, we report that although Brit has come a long way since her shocking mental breakdowns, insiders say she’s far from fine. In fact, the pop tart is so obsessed with her body that she goes to bed hungry and is abusing a prescription drug to keep her weight down. Britney is reportedly going for twice weekly colonics and goes days without solid food. And how is this different from any other female celebrity living in L.A. and trying to live up to the Hollywood ideal? The only real question here is just what drug she’s using to control her appetite. My money is on Adderall. That also explains the insomnia.
