The Bad Dresses Of The 2010 Costume Institute GalaPosted on: May 4, 2010 | Comments Off
Here’s my compilation of the nights bad dresses. Some may not be bad per se…but some are just boring. This is the freakin’ Costume Institute Gala…step it up Diane Kruger. Katy Perry is the number one bad dress offender. I mean really…it’s like a pastel Best Little Whore House in Texas thing. Ivanka Trump looks like she dug in her moms closet for that tacky dress. And oh my..I’m gutted to say that I don’t like Gwen Stefani’s gown. I was expecting sooo much more from her. Thandie Newton looks frumpy, Kristen Stewart looks miserable and that dress does not suit her. Busty Christina Hendricks could have done way better. We’ve already discussed Diane Kruger. She usually looks stunning in evening gowns but this one is just blah. Elizabeth Banks made a poor choice and her face looks funny. Gisele Bundchen is on the list because she just had a baby and I hate her. Kirsten Dunst dress and Tina Fey’s jumpsuit don’t even need explanation.
Best Dresses At 2010 OscarsPosted on: March 8, 2010 | Comments Off
So the following Best and Worst Dress List from the 2010 Oscars is just my self-indulgent attempt to make sense of why some people get it right every time and some people look like someone just straight up lied to them about how they looked in that dress. So in my humble opinion..here are the celebs that shut it down with a badass gown. By far my favorite gown was Diane Kruger ga-ga-gorgous Chanel gown. Swoon.
In a close second place was the always youthful Demi Moore in a delicate, flesh colored Versace dress.
Mariska Hargitay in Vera Wang makes the list mostly because her hair is flawless. Anna Kendrick is really pretty in Elie Saab, Kate Winslet was simple and elegant, Cameron Diaz finally got it right in Oscar de la Renta. Meryl Streep makes the list because she is always just ..perfect. Kathy Ireland’s dress is not all that great but she looked so young and fresh on the red carpet interviewing the celebs I had to mention her. Vera Farmiga took a risk and it worked. And Maggie Gyllenhaal makes the list for making a print work on the red carpet with this Dries Van Noten gown.

Diane Kruger In Interview MagazinePosted on: September 4, 2009 | Comments Off
Interview magazine published a really interesting, in-depth interview with Diane Kruger about her role in the Quentin Tarantino flick Inglourious Basterds…along with a smoking hot-in-a-hot-German-kind-of-way photo shoot. As the enigmatic Bridget von Hammersmark in Tarantino’s World War II epic Inglourious Basterds, she gets to challenge preconceptions about glacially gorgeous blondes. If the movie is a twisted once-upon-a-time fairy tale (crammed with more sadistic gore than even the Brothers Grimm could muster), the German-born Kruger makes a suitably steely princess—with a sense of humor. She even has her own real-life prince: Fringe actor Joshua Jackson. Read the rest of the interview here.
