Underwood has validated my theory that I am not the only chick in the world that food journals as a tool…not a a OCD quirk.

The country pop tart recently told Us Weekly that she has kept a food journal EVERY DAY since losing all that American Idol baby fat.

“I’ve kept a food journal for three years, and work out four to six days a week, even if I just get in 30 minutes on a bike or the treadmill. I may not be perfect but I work hard for what I got.”

The cat fight between Jessica Simpson and the ex-girlfriend of ‘the love of her life’, Tony Romo, is getting hotter. Jessica’s feud with Carrie Underwood began when Jess wore that “Real Girls Eat Meat” tshirt. Carrie immediately fired back by saying that although she didn’t answer, Tony still called her often. Soon after that Jessica told a morning radio show that she was “over” Carrie’s claims and that obviously Tony didn’t want her anymore, or he would be with her. Now it’s Carrie’s turn and the best she could come up with is that “she’s fat”.

“She finds Jessica’s love of putting her life on display pretty desperate,” a pal of the “Before He Cheats” singer tells OK!. “She laughed at the People cover, because it’s the same one Jess did about John Mayer — same smile, same look, except she’s a little fatter.”

Oh, and then she took a swipe at Jessica’s country chops. “Carrie doesn’t think fans will spend money to watch Jess warble through a few badly written songs,” says her friend.

Jessica Simpson says she knows that boyfriend Tony Romo is not calling his ex because she checks his call log. Jessica was responding to Carrie Underwood’s statement that Tony still calls her from time to time, although she does not answer.

“I looked at his call log,” she said Wednesday in an interview with Nashville’s 107.5 FM’s Woody and Jim show. “Tony and I both laughed at that,” Simpson said. “We got a chuckle out of it. If Tony wanted to call her and be with her, he would.”

Jessica also says she wasn’t intentionally dissing Tony’s ex the day she wore a tshirt that read “Real Girls Eat Meat”. She says she wasn’t even aware that Carrie was veggie. Interesting feud brewing here. Could this be a “frienamie” kind of thing…Paris and Nicole of the country western world?

Catty much, Carrie Underwood? Why did the American Idol winner feel the need to tell the world (via Allure magazine) that Tony Romo still calls her? Just to stick a knife in Jessica Simpson’s back? Maybe the reigning ‘cute country blonde’ doesn’t want the competition in the country/pop music industry. Please tell me she doesn’t feel threatened by Jessica Simpson.

“We were both small-town people doing very big things, and we relied on each other, dealing with fame,” she says of Romo. “I don’t know. The phone will ring and it’ll be him, and I’ll maybe not answer.”
