History Channel Cancels “The Kennedy’s”Posted on: January 8, 2011 | Comments Off
Proving that the Kennedy family still has some pull at least, they have bullied The History Channel into canceling the long-awaited miniseries starring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear. The surprising cancellation comes after major political pressure from the Kennedy family who were “uncomfortable” with the project. Which of course means it does not always show JFK and the rest of the family in the most positive light. Producer Joel Surnow (from 24) must have decided to tell the truth- not the candy coated legacy the family wants us all to remember. The Kennedys miniseries is now being shopped to Showtime. Hopefully Showtime has more balls than The History Channel and will pick up the 8 part mini-series. They’d be idiots not to. With all this drama surrounding the project I would bet it’s the most watched mini-series of 2011. Don’t worry…even if Showtime wussies-out too Xenu and Tom Cruise will pull their Hollywood strings and get t his aired somewhere. Maybe on Oprah’s new network? She totally owes Tom for that ratings boost couch-jumping stunt.
Denise Richards Reality Show CancelledPosted on: August 27, 2008 | Leave a Comment
I know this is going to come as a shock to you kids, but E! has canceled Denise Richards reality show, “It’s Complicated”. You may recall that Denise took ex-husband Charlie Sheen to court last year for rights to have their two daughters appear on the show. Turns out it was all for naught. “The numbers started out pretty good – just over 1.5 million tuned in for the premiere episode,” a source told “The Insider” yesterday. “But the audience has dropped off. ” And Charlie Sheen and his newly pregnant wife are popping the champagne in celebration as we speak.
