PETA is going to be on the war path about this one. This picture popped up on the International Fur Trade Federations blog today.

The picture shows the actress choosing which dead animal she wants a coat made out of at the Kopenhagen Fur’s Studio in early March. For some reason her people never released this information.

“Wearing fur may be associated with something grandmotherish. Something you wear when you visit the opera, or if you are a rock star and wears it inside out. But I will advocate that both my generation and the younger generation can wear fur“, says Brooke Shields.

Here she began designing her own mink coat made of the best Danish fur skins. Brooke Shields chose to work with the short-haired, black mink.

I’m not he biggest supporter of PETA..I think they go way over the line sometimes. But I do think most of us would agree it’s really sort of gross to walk around with a dead animal draping your shoulders. And how often is Brooke making it to the opera these days anyway?

I don’t know what is more unbelievable about this story…that Brooke Shields managed to stay a virgin in L.A. until she was 22 or the fact the seems ashamed about it.

Brooke Shields would have lost her virginity at an earlier age, if only she had liked her appearance. “Not learning to love the way I looked earlier,” Shields told Health magazine , is one of her biggest regrets. The usually demure star said if she’d been more comfortable with her body image, “I think I would have had sex a lot earlier . . . I would have lost my virginity earlier than I did, at 22, [because] I would have been much more in touch with myself. To me, that’s a health regret.”

When this story first broke this morning it sounded like Kiefer Sutherland was the hero of the night at the Met costume gala in NY last night. But as the morning wears on more details are coming in and something seems fishy.

Kiefer’s camp says he headbutted and broke designer Jack McCollough’s nose because he “attacked” his pal Brooke Shields. He was simply defending her honor. But Brooke’s camp says that Jack did nothing to warrant such violence. But they  did not say that he did not touch her. Was Kiefer really defending Brooke’s husband here? What’s going on?

I know Kiefer be crazy and drunk alot…but do you think he would attack a random designer for no reason at all?

As we reported, witnesses say Proenza Schouler designer Jack McCollough knocked Brooke to the ground at an after-party for the Met costume gala in NYC last night. But Brooke’s rep say “nothing happened to her,” adding “Jack did nothing inappropriate. It’s not clear what caused Keifer to do what he did.”
Witnesses say Kiefer went up to Jack and demanded he apologize to Brooke. Jack allegedly pushed Kiefer and Kiefer then headbutted Jack.But Brooke’s reps tell us Jack, who designs clothes for Brooke, “did absolutely nothing to her.”
