Did Mold Kill Brittany Murphy & Simon Monjack?Posted on: July 25, 2010 | Comments Off
The fishy-ness of the deaths of husband and wife Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy might be solved by the L.A. County Coroner’s Office. The issue of mold in the house that Brittany and Simon lived in came up early in the investigation of her death, but was deemed ‘not to be a contributing factor.’ Then when Simon passed away a few months later, the issue came up again — but Brittany’s mom, Sharon, wouldn’t let the L.A. County Coroner’s Office in to investigate the mold. But now, for some reason, Sharon has agreed to let Public Health investigators into the home. She’s probably worried about her own life at this point. It won’t make this whole sad situation any better for their families, but at least they would have some sort of explanation and closure.
Simon Monjack Died Exactly Like Brittany MurphyPosted on: July 22, 2010 | Comments Off
Something seems to fishy to me about the deaths of Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack. According to CNN, the coroner concluded that Monjack died the same way as his wife—from acute pneumonia and severe anemia. “Just like Brittany,” Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said. How often does a husband and wife die within five months of each other of the same thing? Not counting the elderly who are just tired of living and give up. Prescription drugs were found in both Brittany and Simon’s systems but coroners say they did not cause an overdose or apparently contribute to Simon’s death. The medical examiner has also ruled out heart disease as a contributing factor. Monjack had reportedly been experiencing heart problems. The two are buried next to each other at the Forest Lawn cemetery in LA.
Brittany Murphy Cause Of Death: It Was PreventablePosted on: February 4, 2010 | Comments Off
Brittany Murphy’s cause of death has been determined — an accidental death caused by “community acquired pneumonia,” iron deficiency anemia, and multiple drug intoxication. Sources tell TMZ a man who worked at Brittany Murphy’s house has told the Coroner’s Office that someone would deliver a sealed, manila envelope to the house every Friday filled with prescription medications in bottles. The name on the envelope — “Lola.”
Brittany Murphy’s Husband Suing Warners Brothers For Wrongful DeathPosted on: January 28, 2010 | Comments Off
A month after her death, Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack has decided to file a wrongful-death action against Warner Brothers. He claims that the studio is responsible for the unexpected death of his 32-year-old wife last December. The Daily Beast has more of the story here. “They killed her,” he told me. Although the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office hasn’t released a final cause of death, Monjack and Brittany’s mother, Sharon, who also spoke to me, are convinced that the once-promising star died of a heart attack from the stress caused by Warner Brother’s canceling of a contract just two weeks before she died. Murphy was excited to have begun production on the sequel to the animated hit Happy Feet, but when she was fired by Warner Brothers, Monjack says, “She was devastated.” On top of that, a month before Warner Brothers’ decision, Brittany was fired from The Caller, and replaced with Twilight star Rachelle Lefevre. There were rumors that Monjack—who did Brittany’s hair and makeup—had been so difficult on the set, sometimes showing up drunk, that the producers had let her go. “It’s a cruel town,” he says. “Warner Brothers relied on conjecture and hearsay about the Puerto Rico film for why they canceled Brittany’s role in Happy Feet. You’re disposable as an actress or actor.” He’s right about that. It is a cruel town. Actors get fired all day for less things than acting flighty on set. Just ask Brit’s replacement for The Caller. Rachelle Lefevre got replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in the Twilight saga and was heartbroken as well. It happens all the time.
Brittany Murphy Was Broke At Time Of DeathPosted on: January 8, 2010 | Comments Off
The National Enquirer claims that Brittany Murphy died virtually broke and that has left her husband and mother in a bitter fight over her estate. According to the report, Brittany owed more money than her Beverly Hills home is worth. The 8,000 square foot mansion is now occupied by her mother, Sharon, and her husband of 2 1/2 years, Simon Monjack. “But a war has exploded over the estate, and there’s a lot of tension between them. Brittany died practically penniless. And now her husband wants to sell her possessions quickly, while her mother is shell-shocked over the death…Poor Sharon can barely function, let alone think about selling the house or getting Brittany’s finances in order… But Simon is already pushing to sell Brittany’s possessions, including jewelry, clothes and the house. “Sharon is appalled by his insensitivity.” I don’t think this news is a surprise to anyone. In fact, I’m shocked there hasn’t been more drama and that more skeletons haven’t jumped out a closet since she passed.
