Sad news. Lucy Gordon, who played a reporter in Spider-Man 3, was found dead in her Paris apartment. The 29 year-old actress was found hanged to death on Thursday morning.

The actress — named one of Britain’s most promising young stars by the Times — apparently committed suicide by hanging herself. One French newspaper reported her boyfriend was sleeping in the apartment at the time.

She would have turned 29 tomorrow. Gordon just wrapped filming a biopic on French singer Serge Gainsbourg. She starred as Jane Birkin.She also acted alongside Heath Ledger  — who died of an accidental drug overdose last year — in 2002′s The Four Feathers.
