In a shocking move to us all, immediately after attending the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, Paris Hilton quietly reporting to the LA County Sheriff’s Department last night at 11:38 p.m to begin her 23 day sentence.

“I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation,” she said in a statement released by her lawyer. “During the past few weeks I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes.

“This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence.”

Authorities said Paris was cooperative and friendly during her strip search and even took the ugly jail uniform without a fuss. We have to admit we feel cheated. I think we all wanted to see Paris doing the perp walk, but don’t worry kids. She may have done this under cover of the night, but I gaurantee there were photogs there and we’ll see photos very soon.
