After finally accepting the fact that she will in fact have to serve at least some of her jail time, Paris Hilton may be starting her sentence early to get it over with. Sources say that Paris has realized that she has no chance of winning an appeal before her June deadline gets here.

“Various people are telling her the chances of avoiding jail are just about nil,” says a close friend of the Simple Life star. “They are telling her she should take a deep breath, do her time and then get on with her life.”

Poor Paris is getting smacked in the face by karma and is working through The Five Stages of Grief for her party girl life. She may be closer than you think to Stage Five: Acceptance, as today she issued a statment saying that she does not think she is above the law. She did last week, but now she totally gets it. You can just hear her little inner voice saying, “Oh, the law is like, for everyone? Even the special people? That is so not hot.”
