Paris Hilton may get lucky and spend far less than the 45 days she was sentenced too for violating her probation. Authorities have said that the law breaking socialite may only serve three weeks or less behind bars because of a state requirement that gives inmates time off for good behavior and because of the serious overcrowding in the system.

“It’s possible that it could be 21 days, 23 days. It’s a complicated formula that the state sets down. It’s possible that she could do less time,” LA Sheriff Department’s Steve Whitmore told The Associated Press.

Whitmore says that “our jail is bursting at the seams” and that there have been some female inmates that have been released after serving only 10% of their time. All this is contingent on Paris demonstrating good behavior while incarcerated. She better leave the diva at the door if she wants out early.
