The Los Angeles Court System plays no favorites as today they sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail for violation of her probation. The judge said that Paris disregarded the limits of her probation for her DUI and ‘didn’t care and kept driving.” Prosecutors also noted that Paris never enrolled in the alcohol education program that she was ordered to when she received her DUI.
Reports say that Paris was visibly shocked when her sentence was read today and her mother actually let out an audible gasp. The judge has ordered that Paris report for jail no later than June 5. In a last ditch effort to keep herself out of the pokey, Paris appealed to the judge.
“I want you to know I’m very sorry and will pay complete attention to everything from now on,” she said.
Even with all this evidence against Paris, her ridiculous attorney had the gall to say, “To sentence Paris Hilton to jail is uncalled for, inappropriate and ludicrous. She was singled out for who she is. She’s been selectively targeted. Paris was honest in her testimony. We plan to appeal. Shame on the system.”
Yeah, it’s the system that is all wrong here. Shame on Paris for thinking the laws of us normal folk don’t apply to her. Well, in a just a few weeks she’ll be locked up sans cell phone and access to tanning salons and nightclubs and crying her wonky-eyed self to sleep every night. I’m also concerned about what’s she going to do about her issue with bulimia while she’s locked up. You don’t get no bathroom privacy in the joint. She’ll have to binge and purge in front of her new cellmate and girlfriend, Big Shirley.
