Oprah Winfrey is going vegan for a 21-day detox plan. She’s not only giving up meat and dairy, Oprah and three friends are giving up caffeine, sugar, gluten and alcohol. Look out studio audience! The O may be a bit edgy over the next month.

In true Oprah-stye, she is going to be blogging about her progresses and her comfort food withdrawals. And take it from a blog who knows, you do have food withdrawals when you do this 21-day detox. (We did Dax Moy’s detox and although we told everyone we completed it, we gave in and had added Red Bull back in on about day three.)

“This 21-day cleanse gives me a chance to think about [eating] differently and see what my attachments are to certain kinds of foods – and what I’m willing to do to change,” she wrote on Sunday (day one). “Don’t know if I’m going to feel better or worse, but I’m willing to try to see if my body at least feels differently.”

So far, Oprah says she is enjoying her detox, but keep in mind she has a high-priced personal chef cooking her yummy vegan things like ‘strawberry rhubarb wheat-free crepes”. On our 21-day detox plan we mostly ate oatmeal and chicken. Oprah sucks.
