Although Madonna’s camp has denied that she was in Malawi to adopt, a Malawian man named Yohame Banda claims Madonna has adopted his 1-year-old son, whose mother died a month after childbirth. Banda says he is happy his son, David, is escaping poverty.

This story is just too sad to make snarky comments, but I will say I would’ve thought a Malawian boy would have a more interesting name. I will also say if this is true, and Madonna has really tried to do this with little or no publicity, she will be on her way to redemption for being such a condescending phony.
