Before Tim Gunn was shouting, “Make it work”, New York fashion artists House of Diehl created Instant Couture™. Inspired by MC street battling, Instant Couture is a live on stage mash-up of fashion, art and music, using the audience as the models, everyone as designers, and recycled-anything as material. Sounds cool huh? You can imagine the amazing freestyle results and one of a kind fashion masterpieces that were created. Described as: “Punk meets Warhol…” – Vogue “The Future of Couture!” – Sleazenation “Edward Scissorhands vs Galliano.” – Hintmag

Now, the crazy cool folks at House of Diehl usher in the next generation of Instant Coutureä designers with “STYLE WARS”, where fast and furious creatives (aspiring “Style DJs”) compete to create their own “Instant Couture.” The battles begin online this summer at www.moli.com/stylewars.com.

Get involved, create a profile Style Wars site to show off your work and win cool shit! Participate in weekly fashion “challenges” to get in front of the judging panel of industry VIPs and celebrities, as well as fans and haters on the site. In September, semi-finalists from each city will be chosen to compete in the live “Style Wars” tour itself coming in October.

The “STYLE WARS” tour rolls through New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Miami. Experience the Battles live to the sound of the best mash-up DJs in the world! Watch as the fierce designers cut, tape, burn and drape, to create new fashion items from vintage garments, recycled objects, and other unexpected materials, while their fans in the audience model and photograph, or simply cheer them on. Participants will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges, and the champion from each city wins mad prizes, $1000 cash, and an invitation to participate in the “Style Wars” Grand Finale, which will take place later this year in New York City
