Possibly the funniest thing I’ve heard this year. Forty minutes after being crowned Miss Universe, Miss Puerto Rico Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza fainted onstage during the post-pageant news conference in L.A. Sunday night.

Tottering on high, spiky heels, the five-foot-nine, 18-year-old beauty collapsed in the arms of pageant assistants. She was rushed off the Shrine Auditorium stage while the conference organizer called for help.

The incident was blamed on her very tight, heavily beaded dress and the heat on stage. Pageant reps were quick to tell the press that Zuleyka “had plenty eat� that day, putting any eating disorder theories to rest. Where is the video of this??? It don’t get much funnier than a decked out in all her pageant finery, tottering, fainting Miss Universe.
