Mischa Barton and her rocker boyfriend Taylor Locke have split after an extended vacation in Africa. Mischa broke it off after fighting with the Rooney front man for three straight weeks while on safari. That sounds fun. Blazing heat, giant bugs, getting sticky and stinky and sleeping in a tent with someone you can’t stand. Good times.

A source tells Us Weekly, “Mischa and Taylor’s romance worked because they spent so much time apart. He’d be on tour or she’d be working in Europe and they talked over the phone or e-mail. They fought almost every day on the trip and she broke up with him just a few days after they returned to L.A.”

That’s Mischa’s story, but I bet dude just got tired of her heinous fashion sense. A man can only take so many high-waisted denim shorts on his girl before he freaks out in Africa. Mischa Barton is as un-lucky in love as Jennifer Aniston. When will these chicks learn that rock-stars don’t make good boyfriends?
