Forgotten in someone’s attic for the last 50 years, a silent home movie of Marilyn Monroe smoking some herbage. The troubled MM appears relaxed and happy at a friends house getting her smoke on. The film was shot sometime in 1958-59.

“I had it up in my attic all this time,” says the woman who shot the home movie and confirms that Marilyn was smoking marijuana.

The friend wanted to remain anonymous for obvious reasons like she is probably a great-grandma by this point, said she regularly hung out with the starlet but doesn’t really have a reason for why it has taken her so long to part with the footage. “Home movies, that’s all it was,” she told NBCNewYork.com Tuesday. “It was never a big deal for me.”

A collector named Keya Morgan bought the film for $275,000 and plans to sell it in an auction later.
