Chances are there is someone in your life that has been diagnosed with breast cancer, and most likely they have beaten it. The treatment and survival rate for breast cancer has improved so much over the past decade in major part due to money raised for research by companies like Yoplait and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Both of these organizations also realize the importance of ordinary individuals getting the word out about early detection and they want to honor these folks for their life saving work.
On September 19, both the above organizations announced the search for the 2008 Yoplait Champions, a search for everday people doing extrodinary things to fight breast cancer. The search compliments Yoplait’s commitment to the breast cancer fight through their signature Save Lids to Save Lives program. (Now in it’s NINTH year FYI)

Does your office mate consistantly round up everyone’s yogurt lids and mail them in once a month? Does your best friend walk every 2 Day walk that ever comes up and hound you for donations? Good, nominate them for the 2008 Yoplait Champion award. Nominees must have a strong commitment to the breast cancer cause and have made an impact on others’ lives or the community. Nominations are open between now and November , 2007 at www.yoplait.com.
Need more incentive to nominate someone? Yoplait will donate $1,000 on behalf of each chosen individual to the breast cancer charity of their choice, totaling up to $25,000.
Not only do those kids at Yoplait make some rockin’, healthy snacks they are working hard to save the lives of our sisters, mothers and friends.
