John Popper, the jolly front man from Blues Traveler, was arrested in Washington state yesterday for driving 111 miles per hour and pot possession. Not that exciting I know, you see more interesting stories on Cops. But here is the twist, when the police were searching his vehicle they found a hidden compartment that held a total of 14 weapons. His stash included four rifles, nine handguns and a switchblade knife. Popper told the cops he carried this artillery around with him because he didn’t want “to be left behind” in case there was a natural disaster.
Someone needs to lay off the mary jane for a while. Because in the immortal words of The Kinks…”Paranoia Will Destroy Ya”!!
