You really can’t top a speech that pays tribute to your ailing mother and turns out to be one of the biggest and most public Hollywood ‘coming outs’ EVER.
If it was anyone’s night, it was Jodie Foster’s. The legendary actress began trending on Twitter the moment she stepped onto the red carpet in her custom blue Giorgio Armani gown. The speech she gave while accepting the Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award brought her name right back to the top of the list. Confessing that she was “single,” Foster then said she came out a “thousand years ago” and thanked her two sons, former partner and mother. Most fan reaction that followed included words like “inspiration,” “strong” and “respect.”
