Jessica Simpson told the ladies on The View that she cut her hair to get rid of ’some baggage’. On the subject of her reportedly dating John Mayer, Jessica said she wouldn’t use the word ‘dating’ to describe their relationship. She did admit that they are friends.

Well I am ready to admit that her hair looks awful. I still think her recent weigth gain/unfortunate hair cut/frumpy clothing are all part of her daddies master plan to boost Ashlee’s career for a while. Proof that if you put ten pounds on any given celeb, take away their long hair extensions and sexy clothes, you get….well…you get this.
