Don’t feel too bad for Britney Spears kids. According to Promises treatment centers website, they cater to the elite addict. Right now Britney is most likely enjoying some of the facilities amenities such as gourmet meals, personal trainers, horseback riding or massage. Or she might be taking a quick nap in her private room with 500 thread count sheets, a fireplace and a view of the ocean. Britney will also enjoy private not group therapy so no one has to hear her dirty laundry or rock bottom stories and has no chores to do; which is always a requirement at other treatment centers.

Promises is being criticized (and rightly so) by the head of the Betty Ford Clinic saying that perks such as these “trivialize what we do. The best thing for you in rehab is to sit next to a guy from skid row and realize you’re just as much an alcoholic as he is. Learning humility is part of the recovery process.”

I suppose after shelling out $48,000 for thirty days at Promises, you expect to get over your addiction and be pampered at the same time.
