How Did Pneumonia Kill Bernie Mac?Posted On: August 9, 2008 Leave a Comment
I can’t be the only one that utterly SHOCKED that Bernie Mac died from pneumonia? I spent all day Sunday wondering how someone dies from something so treatable in this day and age. Until I read this: Mac died early Saturday morning of complications due to pneumonia, his publicist said. Mac, 50, had been hospitalized for about a week at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to his spokeswoman. A few years ago, Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs. So sad. The entire city of Chicago is no doubt in morning.
